is a recording artist and worship leader. He is part of a fresh
new genre of singer/songwriters who have evolved from many styles of music
and are enjoying mainstream success. His style is a mix of Folk, Pop, Modern
Messianic, Contemporary Christian and Worship. He is a popular speaker and
singer and travels to churches, events and conferences regularly with his
wife
Aly
who is also a singer and worship
leader.
Originally
from New Jersey,
Raphael Giglio
has recently returned to the NY/NJ area
after spending 12 years in Nashville, TN serving six years as a full-time
Pastor and church-planter of New River Fellowship
in Franklin, TN with Michael W. Smith (the two were ordained together in
March of 2002.)
He now serves as Minister of Worship at
Zarephath Christian Church and Concert Coordinator for Star99.1fm-New York.
Raphael spent
several years as a manager at Capitol Records in Nashville (with artists
such as Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, and others) before leaving to tour
internationally in support of his own CD. He is also the Executive Producer of the New River Fellowship
Worship CD "Streams of Worship" which features many prominent artists
from the Nashville music community.
The youngest son in a musical family
of 12 children, Raphael started out his career as a young
recording artist on Myrrh/Word Records. He continues to lead worship and
speak about the grace, hope and love of God in real-life
situations in very personal and down-to-earth ways that communicate
healing and empathy to his listeners.
As an accomplished guitar player, his songs are laced with
articulate acoustic finger styling. His music is contagious and memorable
and filled with captivating stories. He has written more than 100 songs and
has performed for over 20 years in a wide variety of audiences throughout
the United States, Europe and Israel.
