AS REAL AS YOU c- 1997 R. Giglio
So many years ago you taught me, to be a wise man in my youth.
Things money could not buy you bought me, like life and love and joy and truth.
Now I'm ashamed of how I've acted, I played the game of compromise.
Who can I blame I'd been distracted, Fortune and fame I bought the lies.
Sometimes the world gets so intriguing, and I'm not sure just what to do.
But I found one thing, that there is nothing, AS REAL AS YOU, AS REAL AS YOU.
Faced with a meaningless existence, inside a superficial spell
Should I seek comfort or resistance, give me the wisdom just to tell
and in my times of deep confusion, I still recall a brighter way.
before the dawn of this illusion, Lord once again show me the way.
Sometimes the world gets so deceiving, it seems so honest and so true.
But I found one thing, that there is nothing, AS REAL AS YOU, AS REAL AS YOU.
