Letter to Church Leaders:

"I would like to recommend Raphael to come minister to the body at your fellowship.  His music and his heart in ministry both encourage and challenge people to a deeper, more intimate relationship with God.  We look forward to having him back at Calvary Chapel of Silver City in the future.  He is truly a brother who has a love for Jesus and a ministry of refreshing the hearts of the saints."

Pastor Joseph Gros - Calvary Chapel

Hello,

Thanks for your interest in having me visit your church or event. I am honored that you would consider me. I am currently the Minister of Worship for Zarephath Christian Church but do spend some time traveling, speaking and singing with my wife Aly, ministering to churches and other events all over the country.  We can normally travel lightly with or without a band and take an entire Sunday morning/evening or other weekly service or special event. In most cases, we can often come for just the cost of expenses plus an offering.

In addition to preaching and performing concerts, Leading Worship has become one of the most exciWorshipting aspects of our ministry. I enjoy teaching and preaching as well as singing and sharing the songs that are our favorites here, and bringing them to other churches. I was blessed to be able to lead worship with Michael W. Smith for many years and sing on his popular live "WORSHIP" CD. I would  love to share many of those contemporary songs with your congregation as well as a few of our own songs and our other music.

Whether you are familiar with our ministry or not, you should know that in recent events we have been sharing a fresh excitement about what the Lord is doing here in New York, New Jersey and the rest of the country in restoring hope, love and  reconciliation with the Father, with an emphasis on celebrating His love through worship. I speak regularly on subjects ranging from worship, music, the gospels, evangelism and Israel.

We hope to establish long-lasting relationships with you and your church and can't wait to share the wonderful things that God is doing in our lives and through our music.

Please email  to let us know when and how we can serve your church via a concert or other ministry engagement.

God's Best to you...

Raphael was born and raised in North Brunswick, New Jersey, as the youngest of six sons in an Italian/Jewish family of twelve children. He came to know the Lord in 1975 at age ten along with his mother Phyllis, and several siblings through the ministry of his Jewish Grandfather who had recently accepted Jesus as Messiah. He studied at the Discipleship Training Schools of both YWAM / Last Days Ministries in Lindale, Texas in 1983. He then served as a Calvary Chapel Home Group Pastor and Worship Leader for a rapidly growing church in New Jersey, the area where he had previously implemented and lead several home fellowship groups. He has been an avid student of the Bible and active in ministry for over 25 years.

He was selected as an Honors Student at Rutgers University where he studied Journalism and Mass Media but opted to pursue a national music ministry after having been offered a record contract with Myrrh Records in 1988. He initially moved to Nashville in 1994 but moved back to NJ in 1996 to become a Microsoft Certified Professional for AT&T in New York City. After returning to Nashville a year later, he was hired as a manager for Capitol Records and since then has worked in various positions within the Music Industry and Christian Ministry. He now resides in Ocean Grove, NJ and is the Contemporary Worship Leader for the 'Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association'. His primary roles are; Minister of Music for Zarephath Christian Church, Concert Coordinator for Star 99.1 FM, and Church Networking Coordinator for Autumn Blaze.

Raphael and Michael W. Smith were ordained together in March 2002 at New River Fellowship where he planted and served for six years as Pastor, Administrator, Teacher, and Worship Leader. He has a strong heart for Israel and his fellow Jewish people and continues to record and tour internationally as a Singer/Songwriter.
